Hip Problems

Pain in the hip area is common and can be confused with lower back pain, which often radiates into the hip.  Pain in the front of the hip is often associated with problems inside the hip joint  such as arthritis and labral tears.  Pain on the side of the hip is commonly from tendonitis or bursitis.  Pain in the back of the hip is commonly caused by a pinched nerve in the lower back radiating into the back of the thigh.
