Knee Problems
Knee pain is a common complaint for many patients. Most symptoms start insidiously meaning that there is a gradual onset in symptoms. Many are over use type injuries from strenuous activities such as hiking and basketball. Pain in the front of the knee is commonly from issues relating to the knee cap while pain on the inside or outside of the knee is commonly from cartilage tears or tendonitis. X-rays are useful in helping to diagnose arthritis but have limited use in evaluating tendonitis or cartilage tears.
